I cannot believe I am the mother of a freshman in college. My oldest daughter, "R", just started the University and I am so proud of her. She is starting he first job next week (other than babysitting). This is such an exciting time for her. I pray that she considers what God would want her to study.
My youngest daughter, "S" is a junior in high school. She is enjoying being in high school without her sister. She continues to take honors classes and so far is enjoying the first week of school.
I pray that continues to live her life pleasing to God and sets a good Christian example for her friends and teachers.

Remembering Matt
Last week a 16 year old friend of my daughter's passed away. It was so very sad. Living in a small town most of my daughter's classmates know each other. There are only 125 kids in her class. At least we know Matt was a christian and is in heaven with Jesus (probably playing soccer or tennis).
Please keep Matt's family and friends in your prayers. My heart aches for his mother and father.
Times like these remind us to pray for those friends and family who do not know Christ.

Pray for our Teachers
I love our teachers. Most of them are Christians and let the children know that they love the Lord. It is a blessing. Their contract has expired and they are currently working on negotiating a new one. It is not going well. It is just a reminder that I need to continue to pray for our teachers as well as our School Board. We have several school board members who are christians and I pray the Lord will lead them to do the right thing and stand up for the teachers and give them a fair contract to sign.

Gotta start sometime
Well I've been reading other blogs for quite a few months now. I have learned a lot from reading those blogs and hope that eventually I will be able to share something, sometime that will help and inspire others.
